Vesna’s practice is concerned with questioning the traditional use of materials and the accepted concept of beauty. She creates poetical and abstract pieces in a variety of materials mixing millinery craftsmanship with other disciplines.
After receiving Harold Tillman Scholarship in 2009, Vesna graduated with an MA Fashion Artefacts from University of the Arts London. Over the years she has worked with many up and coming designers, artists and private clients as well as being a workshop facilitator at London College of Fashion. Vesna lectures at Morley College and Kensington and Chelsea College.
Leather pieces from her MA collection were included in The Hat Book by Papadakis. Vesna’s work has also featured in multiple publications including Arts Thread, Hat Magazine, Attire Accessories, and online publications like Dazed Digital, Vogue online etc.
Vesna perfected her skills at renowned Stephen Jones Millinery where she made hats to the highest standards for celebrity clients and members of The Royal family. She also created pieces for his millinery collections as well as collaborations with designers such as John Galliano, Mark Jacobs, Comme des Garcons, L’wren Scott, Schiaparelli, Donna Karan, Thom Browne, Jil Sander etc.
